We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day early to beat the crowds and ended up spending a wonderful (& COLD) day walking around the Embarcadero before having dinner at BO-beau + Cache!

These photos aren’t perfect by far, but it was a wonderful day and I really love the tones—due to the sunset and the glass walls—so here they are!
(Also, thanks to Darren for letting me borrow his camera because I still haven’t gotten into the habit of bringing my own, haha!)
Happiness is: using the Ariel mug that I received from a good friend as a Christmas gift!

As the new year rolls around and my new, big adventure is soon coming up, I’ve decided to add to my love of documenting my random outings by attempting to actively bring Craig (aka my Nikon D5000), rather than relying on just my phone. So, here’s to documenting my last few months in San Diego!
… & I guess it’s characteristic of me to start off this new venture by visiting the newly opened Salt & Straw ice cream shop, where we ate too much of their apple brandy & pecan pie, gingerbread cookie dough, caramelized grapefruit eggnog, and butter roasted chestnut on two waffle cones.
Happiness is: baking seasonal cookies.
Happiness is: getting to sleep in a cocoon of comfort (aka fluffy white clouds).
Happiness is: baking MORE seasonal cookies.
Happiness is: coming home after an amazing, live performance of A Prairie Home Companion and having coffee + an Eclipse cupcake.
Happiness is: obtaining new books to read!
Happiness is: taking my handmade faux gingerbread ornaments out from storage to decorate the tree & having my living room smell like the holidays.
Happiness is: reading in the comfort of my new duvet & duvet cover.
Happiness is: reading a good novel and enjoying a pumpkin muffin with a mug of coffee.
It’s been a while since I’ve written a “happiness is” post, but that’s because it’s been quite hectic these past few weeks due to my bout with the flu amongst other things (which I hope to share soon!). I’m hoping for things to settle down before I resume.
With that being said, the frequency of those posts may change from weekly to once every two or so weeks, but we shall see. (:
Happiness is: when my mom cooks Thai fried rice.
Happiness is: when he is thoughtful & brings back dim sum because I couldn’t make it to the event.
Happiness is: going to the Disney Store (and coming back with these cuties).
Happiness is: finally being able to use my Halloween tape!!!
Happiness is: coming home from the grocery store with a pumpkin.
Happiness is: fall-ifying my room.
